Description
Often referred to as red cement when mixed with ordinary cement, is a colouring agent used to impart a red hue to cementitious materials. It’s commonly used for interior house floors to add colour and aesthetic appeal.
Surface Preparation
Ensure the surface is clean, free from dust, dirt, and any contaminants. It should also be structurally sound and prepared to accept the cement mixture
Coverage
The coverage area can vary based on the thickness of the application, the porosity of the surface, and the specific mixture used.
Application
Mix the red iron oxide with ordinary cement following the desired ratio. Apply the mixture evenly onto the prepared surface. After 24 hours, evaluate the surface. If overly dry, gradually introduce water to aid in additional drying, but avoid adding water if the surface is adequately dry
